Our carefully selected coaching staff is dedicated to providing our
cheerleaders with a variety of fun and high-energy experiences.
Cheerleading is great exercise! No previous cheerleading or tumbling experience is necessary, and EVERYONE is welcome
on our team, boys too! We provide individual attention to
teach each squad member the physical and vocal aspects of
cheerleading.
Children at least five years old by April 30, 2008 and in kindergarten
through 8th grade are eligible for our program. All of
our cheerleading teams receive instruction in team cheering, usually learning more
than 25 different cheers each season! In the fall, we have squads that cheer for
the New Cumberland Saints' regular-season football games
(check our
Calendar page for a game schedule). Our cheer teams have squads that are determined by age levels, similar
to the way our football teams are organized.

squads cheer at all NC Saints home and away football games, and do not need to
audition – everyone is welcome, so come join the fun! Prior experience with
cheerleading is not necessary -- we can teach you what you need to know!

Past Accomplishments
The "superbowl" of cheerleading is attending a
National Cheer Championship. In the spring of 2005, the NC Saints
Peewee and Midget teams competed in the Battle at the Capital in
Washington DC. Despite exceptionally tough competition (each of our teams
competed against more than eight other teams), our Midgets
placed second and our Peewees came in fourth!
In March of 2006, the NC Saints Pony and Midget teams attended
the ECA National Cheerleading Championship in
Williamsburg Virginia. Both teams placed first in the
"Let's Cheer" division!

WAY TO GO, SAINTS!!
CONGRATULATIONS, Cheerleaders!
